Schani was nominated for an award in the Stroke Associations recent 'Life After Stroke Awards'. The awards celebrate exceptional achievement by people who have had a Stroke.

In June, Schani was again interviewed about his career on Radio Derby.

During April and early May, Schani passed both his practical and viva as well as his theory exams of his Sports Massage course.

18th December saw Schani have an article appear in the Derby Evening Telegraph. The full page article, complete with three pictures, was printed in the business pull out section of the newspaper.

The article, charted his development from the early days of his Stroke, right to the success of his mentoring partnership with Daniel Maclarren, a Barclays Business Advisor.

On November 1st, Schani started a new employment at First Movement, in Matlock. First Movement lead Arts based workshops with Aldults with Learning Difficulties in the East Midlands.

 His new job title is Project Coordinator (Training and Skills). The post is 30 hours a week and involves both office based project coordination and in-the-field project delivery. Part of Schani's post will be to research and impliment accreditation for the clients of First Movement.
